Easter Break Creative Writing Workshop for Kids
Theme: The Brave Superhero
This April, the children will be having a break from school, and it will be a great opportunity to engage them in a creative activity!
I’ve put together a One-Week Creative Writing Workshop for children aged 7 – 14. The purpose of this workshop is for them to create their story from scratch, given a concept. They will brainstorm, create characters, create an engaging plot, write a story, edit it and rewrite it. I will publish the best stories on my website and in a writing magazine that each child will receive. The theme for the week is: The Brave Superhero (talking about Jesus who did something very brave and heroic for us).
During this one-week workshop, the children will:
♦ Learn the different concepts of storytelling
♦ Discover how to weave the elements together to create a good story
♦ Create their own superhero characters
♦ Write a story of the hero depicting bravery and leadership
♦Learn how to read, discuss and give feedback on each other’s work
♦ Improve their grammar, spelling and vocabulary
Ages: 7 – 14 years
Venue: Edgewood College, Kayode Otitoju Street (Off Admiralty Road), Lekki Phase 1, Lagos
Dates: 10th to 14th of April 2017
Time: 9.00am to 1.00pm
