Who are we?

Accomplish Press and The Creative Writing Academy is an innovative, author-focused company based in the UK.  Established in 2011 by Tolulope Popoola, we are proud to take a different approach to helping authors with writing and publishing their work.

We offer Book Coaching Services, Creative Writing and Self-Publishing Courses, and Consulting services for aspiring authors of all ages. We particularly want to hear from writers and authors who are writing contemporary fiction, literary novels, memoirs, business books, general fiction novels and children’s books for the Black British and African/Diaspora market. This section of the population is largely ignored by large mainstream publishers but we are perfectly positioned to cater to the needs of our authors and readers in a rapidly changing industry.

Our Mission:

  • To give aspiring writers of all ages an opportunity to develop their talents and showcase their stories.
  • To provide entertainment through novels, poetry and short stories that our readers will enjoy
  • To help aspiring authors who want to express their ideas in book form with the structure and support they need
  • To help publish works with characters that our target audience and readers can really identify with
  • To introduce books to people of all ages who have never thought of themselves as readers of literature
  • To explore new and exciting ways of reaching customers outside of the traditional publisher-distributor model
  • To promote a positive image of Nigerian and African culture through books, short stories and other forms of literature
  • To network with publishers to support a reading culture among young people, through our Get Young People Reading Campaign
  • To create opportunities for talented African writers to showcase their work

I reached out to Tolu to help in developing my daughter's creative writing skills. Tolu was very professional and supportive. My daughter enjoys the classes and this has further increased her interest in writing. I would definitely recommend the club to others.

Tolu came highly recommended for her teaching style by a close friend. Signing up my daughter for the creative writing club four years ago has been a wise decision and investment. The classes creates an environment for the children to express themselves, be imaginative and creative. These classes with Tolu have really developed my daughter's writing ability and vocabulary, but most of all her confidence. I highly recommend Tolu expertise and cannot wait for her to bring out the best in my son as well.
